Q. What is Portuguese or Turkish dish version that I hear about? How can I tell the difference?
A. There are actually many types of dish, not just Turkish and Portuguese imported. We have tested all types and sizes of dish, so hope you will trust in our knowledge to make your choices simple. These examples below compare the 2.4m versions of different dishes.
The Portuguese 2.4m Single piece skin
This off-white/light beige 2.4m dish is currently the most popular in the Costa Blanca. Its not difficult to see why when you look at these up close. The workmanship and finish is excellent, and the technical performance of this 2.4m is second to none, and beats the well known expensive IRTE! This dish also has holes around the edge which allow extender panels to be fitted to increase the dish size.
The price has dropped considerably over the last 2 years, due to the sheer demand and quantity now imported.

Turkish 2.4m Single Piece Dish
The Turkish version was the predecessor to the newer Portuguese version. This is light-grey in colour and although it is delivered as a single piece.... if you look very closely you will see a weld-join through the middle where it is manufactured in 2 sections. The rear bracket is either black or silver coloured.
There are many local companies using this dish, as it is a cheaper version and does perform almost as well as the Portuguese. The problem with this dish is that it is not as sturdy, so delivery and poor installation can (and very often does) cause this dish to work below optimum.

The IRTE 2.4m segment dish
<< This is the IRTE 2.4m dish. Regarded as the "Rolls Royce" of satellite manufacturers, IRTE produce excellent dishes but at a high price tag. They are originally imported from Italy, where IRTE are based. Possibly we are 1 of only 2 companies left in the Costa Blanca that still stock these dishes. But even if there are other companies, it remains very few. Perhaps you can contact us if you are another Satellite Installer in our region with these in stock?

Our NEW Canadian 2.4m satellite dish
Based on similar design to the Italian IRTE. This is definitely the modern replacement.
This budget dish performs great! Well obviously, because its still a 2.4m dish!
An ideal low-cost alternative if you don't want brand named equipment, but need professional onsite construction of a segment dish.

Prodelin 2.4m dishes
There are 2 versions we know of that are fitted in the Costa Blanca region. Prodelin dishes are manufactured in the USA and generally are expensive. They do perform very well, but the high cost is part due to the brand name and part high shipping costs involved. Very sturdy and top quality, but we no longer stock, or offer installation for these. They can still be ordered for the loyal Prodelin enthusiast.
